SPECIATION ASSIGNMENT:

You and your group members are members of a founding population restricted (no gene flow) to the assigned isolated “island”. Describe your typical member after 500+ generations of adaptation (with no mutation) to the ecological conditions of the assigned island. Then describe your typical member after 1,000+ generations of adaptation (with mutation) to the ecological conditions of the assigned island.

ENDEMISM ASSIGNMENT:

You are to select a country of your choice and determine three endemic species of that country. Briefly describe the species, highlighting their key or unique features. Select one and explain in detail how that species became an endemic species of that country.
